Feb. 2-8: Assault Alleged at Super Bowl Party

Victim says ex forced himself upon her.

Outcome uncertain

A sexual assault allegation brought sheriff’s investigators to a Super Bowl party just outside of Carmichael earlier this month.

A 19-year-old woman accused an ex-boyfriend of holding her down in a bedroom at a mutual friend’s residence in Sacramento and violating her with his finger. The victim told authorities she had consented to having a conversation with the ex regarding the status of their former relationship.

According to the sheriff’s report, hours after the game had finished, around 1 a.m. Feb. 7, the 26-year-old male led his ex into a bedroom to speak in private, telling the victim she was “his girl” and demanding she take him back.

That’s when the victim says the suspect threw her down on the bed and assaulted her. According to the report, the victim struggled to free herself and pushed the unidentified man away, at which point she let another individual at the party into the room. This individual stayed between the two parties while the victim fled the residence on the 5200 block of Rambler Way and called police.

Allegations like these are notoriously difficult for authorities to verify without corroborating evidence, sheriff’s officials have said. At the time of the report, no arrests had been made.
