Granite Bay, Calif. – Property owners can learn how install a new drip irrigation system or modify an existing spray-head system to drip without sacrificing a beautiful landscape. Hosted by the San Juan Water District on October 19, the Drip Irrigation Workshop will also show locals how to make irrigation upgrades that may qualify for rebates of up to $500 for residential or $1,500 for non-residential.
“Drip irrigation conserves as much as 80 percent of water through less frequent watering, with none of it being wasted through wind, evaporation, and run-off,” said Judy Johnson, SJWD customer service manager. “It provides water to specific places at a rate slow enough that it gets effectively absorbed into the ground.”
