Hosted by San Juan Water District on August 17, the Maintaining a Healthy Lawn Workshop will show locals how to create beautiful, lush lawns that require less water. Anyone interested in water-efficient yard and garden improvements should attend.
“From weather sensors to smart sprinklers, we have the latest in irrigation techniques to keep your lawn green year-round,” says San Juan Conservation Specialist Ken Kirkland. “Our workshop will guide you through smart irrigation, fertilization and aeration tricks to help you maintain a beautiful and healthy lawn.”
The workshop begins at 9 a.m. in San Juan’s Water Efficient Landscape (WEL) Garden. Experts will demonstrate types of grass, the latest in irrigation technology and guide participants through the WEL Garden to see these techniques in action.
