Free workshop: How to Help Your Trees Survive the Drought

How to Help Your Trees Survive the Drought

For Californians, it’s a critical time to conserve water outdoors. However, when homeowners make drastic cuts to their outdoor water use, their trees often suffer. The loss of a tree is irreversible.

Sustaining trees during the drought is important. They reduce pollution, lower energy costs and slow water evaporation from landscapes.

San Juan Water District and the Sacramento Tree Foundation invite Sacramento area residents to join them at this free tree care workshop. Participants will learn responsible watering techniques for young and mature trees, the science behind mulch and information about using alternative water sources for tree care.
