Hillside Horse Stables Kicks Off Horses Camp
The five-day course will offer participants, ages 8 to 16, the chance to find out what it's like to own a horse.

Some kids dream of the chance to own horses. But in suburban settings, those dreams can be tempered to petting zoos, carnivals and fairs. No longer, say the folks over at Hillside Horse Stables. Beginning Wednesday, kids ages 8 to 16 can sign up for a five-day course, where they'll learn how to groom, saddle, and take care of a horse.
Beyond basic care, students will have the opportunity to learn about stable management, safety around horses, grooming and hoof care, basic vet care and much more, according to the stable's website.
Camps are held weekly from June through August with a maximum of six students per session. Classes begin at 8 a.m. and last till noon.
