General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson had made his Headquarters at Moss Neck, a pastoral Virginia plantation near Fredericksburg. On January 20, 1863, Lee and Jackson conducted a review of General J.E.B. Stuart’s cavalry--the troops who held the line along the Rappahannock that winter. The full-wrap image is framed by a raised Victorian border. Glazed bands at the top and bottom complete the body design.
