Local 'Note to God' App Creator in Critical Condition Following Hit-And-Run
Police Plea to the Public for Witnesses, Clues Following Tragedy

Police are investigating a tragic hit-and-run that left a young man in critical condition with head injuries over the weekend.
The 18-year-old Citrus Heights man is a police explorer with the Citrus Heights Police Department, which is investigating the crime that occurred around 12:45 a.m. Sunday. Also the creator of an iPhone app titled “A Note to God,” Allen Wright was walking home from a friend's house when a vehicle struck him in the area of Sunrise Boulevard and Arcadia Drive, according to the CHPD.
The suspected vehicle – police haven't yet issued a description – took off without stopping to aid Wright. The young man was found in the center divider of Sunrise Boulevard and taken to Mercy San Juan, where he is in critical condition with major head injuries.

MEDL MOBILE, which purchased the app, updated its iTunes app page to read the following: “We have been informed that Allen Wright, creator of Note to God, was involved in a serious car accident and is currently in the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Allen and his family.”
Sgt. Lee Herrington spoke highly of him, saying he was planning to join the Marines after graduating this year, that he's a good kid and it's sad that something so tragic happened to him. “We all know him,” he said.

The CHPD traffic team is investigating and is asking that anyone with information to contact them. Investigators are also reviewing video evidence from the area and physical evidence from the scene, but Herrington said there's not much physical evidence.
