Man Found Guilty of Killing Former Carmichael Girlfriend
Serena Williams, 35, was shot and killed in her kitchen in 2008.

A man was found guilty this week of two murders, including one that left a 35-year-old Carmichael woman dead in her kitchen.
Steven Arthur Duarte, 56, faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. He shot and killed his former girlfriend Serena Williams on March 18, 2008, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.
The man killed Williams, prosecuters said, because he thought she'd given him HIV, according to the Sacramento Bee.
