
Mardi Gras is coming to Fair Oaks.
The 64th annual Fiesta Days event and parade will feature the Fat Tuesday theme the weekend of May 4 and 5 in Fair Oaks Village.
The event will kick off with a parade 10 a.m., at El Cerino High School (formerly Fair Oaks School), 10700 Fair Oaks Blvd. The parade will wind along Fair Oaks Boulevard into the village.

The deadline to enter to be in the parade is Monday, April 29.
Fiesta Days, formerly Spring Fest, features live entertainment, arts and crafts and food vendors. Also on hand will be the a classic car show, Sun Run and Kids Run. And, the one-of-a-kind toilet bowl race. Race sign ups are expected to be held up until before race times.

Events are sponsored by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District.
A free shuttle and parking are available at Sunrise & Fair Oaks Blvd at Scandinavian Designs.
The event last year drew more than 8,000 people, according to the event's website. There is no admission. Ronald McDonald House receives a portion of the proceeds from the classic car show. The Orangevale Grange sponsors the Sunday breakfast.
