May 16 is Food Revolution Day at the Sacramento Public Library (multiple locations)

Join Chef Jamie Oliver and the California Food Literacy Center for an afternoon of healthy eating and cooking.

May 16 is Food Revolution Day. To celebrate, kids’ cooking classes are taking place across the city. Cooking is one of the best ways to inspire kids to eat their veggies! We’re partnering with the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation and the California Food Literacy Center for a day of food an education. We’ll cook a tasty Rainbow Salad Wrap stuffed with fresh veggies, mint and feta cheese. Little kids will get to measure and stir. Big kids will learn to safely chop or even use a box grater. We'll read D.W. the Picky Eater by Marc Brown.
