Movies in the Park Aims to Please

Picture to be displayed on large, inflatable screen using back projector.

The first-ever Movies in the Park series kicks off this Friday, to the tune of the dancing, singing penguin flick Happy Feet.

To be held at Village Park, starting at dusk, the event was an imagionation-fueled collaboration between the and the Fair Oaks Host Lions Club, organizers said. It's free, family-friendly and different than the typical Friday night, said Sabrina Bernardo, FORPD special events and youth coordinator.

The picture will be displayed on a large, inflatable screen, using a back projector, Bernardo said. This way, people's silhouettes won't interrupt the image.
