Tony Award Winning Musical ‘Les Misérables’ Comes to Fair Oaks Summer Stock Theater
FAIR OAKS – “Les Misérables,” the timeless tale of love, perseverance and revolution, comes to summer stock in Fair Oaks for eight performances over the last two weekends of July and into August.
The original Broadway production of “Les Misérables,” which opened in 1987 and closed in 2003 after 6,680 performances, is the fifth longest-running Broadway show in history. The stunning “Les Mis” was nominated for 12 Tony Awards and won eight, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. In all, Les Mis has garnered more than 100
international awards and been seen by more than 65 million people worldwide.
Now, Stage Right Productions, a non-profit youth summer
stock theater company in Fair Oaks, is presenting 50 regional cast members
(ages 7-21) in a stirring school edition of the production on July 24-26 and
July 30-Aug. 2, all at 7:30 p.m., and on July 27 at 4 p.m. Performances will be
at Faith Lutheran Church Parrish Hall, 4000 San Juan Ave., Fair Oaks.

Les Misérables is the epic
tale of broken dreams, passion and redemption, against the backdrop of a nation in the grip of violent revolution. The musical is best known for such classics as “Castle on a Cloud,” “I Dreamed a Dream,” “Master of the House" and “On My Own.”

Tickets for the Stage Right Productions presentation
of Les Misérables are $10 for children 12 and younger, $12 for students,
seniors and SARTA members, and $14 for general admission. Tickets are available
