NatureFest - Sunday October 5 from 10am to 3pm

The Nature Center's annual community event includes live animal shows, kids activities, demonstrations/exhibits, guided nature walks & more!

We hope you’ll join us for this very special, family-friendly event in the beautiful nature area at Effie Yeaw Nature Center.

Highlights include:

  • Local and exotic animals presented on stage, including a bobcat, kangaroo and bald eagle
  • Live bats, reptiles, insects and birds of prey on stage and at booths throughout the day
  • Fly-fishing instruction for kids, on a 30-foot tarp “river”
  • Local Native American tribes demonstrating basket-weaving and other traditional crafts
  • Hands-on art projects using recycled materials
  • Guided walks through the 100 acre Nature Preserve

Admission: adults - $5; kids 12 and under - FREE. Also FREE parking.
