Two From Monterey Co. Get Life Behind Bars For Killing Of Two Sacramento Men
The victims were lured to the scene under premise they were going to participate in a robbery, prosecutors said.

Two Seaside men have been sentenced to life in prison for the 2013 murders of two Sacramento men in unincorporated Aromas, Monterey County prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Richard Singh, 21, and Jordan Killens, 21, who were found guilty in April of first-degree murder for the fatal shootings of Demetrius Safford and Navneal Singh, were sentenced by Monterey County Superior Court Judge Julie Culver to life in prison without the possibility of parole, prosecutors said.
The men were also sentenced to two terms of 25 years to run consecutively to the life terms for the use of a firearm. On Aug. 11, 2013, the suspects killed the victims by shooting them in the back of their heads on Dunbarton Road in Aromas, prosecutors said.

The suspects lured the victims to the scene on the premise that the four were going to commit a home invasion robbery, prosecutors said.
Following the murders, the case initially went cold, but detectives with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office were able to link the suspects to the killings in 2014 through cellphone records and the discovery of bullets and casings found at the crime scene, prosecutors said.
