Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District firefighters this morning extinguished a fire between two homes on Wildflower Court in Carmichael, KCRA reported.
Battalion Chief Darren Taylor told KCRA a homeowner admitted he left hot ashes from his fireplace in his plastic garbage container overnight. Two homes sustained minor exterior damage, but no one was hurt.
