19-Year-Old in Critical Condition after Stabbing

The attack appears to be gang-related.

A 19-year-old man is in critical condition after a stabbing in Redwood City this afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Brewster Avenue at around 4:35 p.m. on reports of a stabbing.

Police found the victim, a Redwood City resident, suffering from stab wounds to his abdomen.

He was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition as of this evening, police said.

Police said the motive is still under investigation although it appears to be gang-related.

Witnesses described the suspects as two men, between 20 and 25 years old and wearing black clothing. They were both described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall with thin builds.

One of the suspects was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect vehicle was described as a tan or gold, small four-door car, possibly a Mercedes Benz.
