FOSTER CITY, CA — A biotechnology startup pitch event is coming to Foster City next month, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and industry professionals to explore emerging businesses in the biotech sector.
The Bio-By-The-Lagoon Startup Pitch Day is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Foster City Community Center's Wind Room, 1000 E. Hillsdale Blvd., according to the Foster City Chamber of Commerce's event calendar.
The event will feature startup presentations, followed by opportunities for attendees to exchange ideas and explore potential business partnerships.
The event is intended for startup founders, investors, mentors and other biotechnology professionals.
Bio by the Lagoon is a Foster City-based biotechnology networking group that partners with the Foster City Chamber Foundation. The organization provides a forum for discussions about emerging biotechnology topics, including drug discovery, medical devices and diagnostics.
In February, Bio by the Lagoon held a networking event focused on U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations and strategies for biotechnology startups. The discussion addressed regulatory pathways for pharmaceutical products, medical devices and diagnostics.
The group also hosted an August event, "Lab of the Future: Robots, AI, and the Next Era of Science," exploring how artificial intelligence and automation are influencing laboratory research and the skills scientists may need in the future.
