Over recent years, more and more families in San Mateo County have been thrust into poverty. From the COVID-19 pandemic, to increasing wealth inequality, to the impacts of inflation and the housing crisis, the financial pressures on our neighbors have grown. A section of El Camino Real was shut down in San Bruno due to a fatal crash that occurred there early Thursday morning, police said. The thoroughfare is closed between Sneath Lane and San Bruno Avenue. The closure is expected to last until at least 11 a.m., police said. Police have not yet released details on the crash. -- Bay City News
