Police Blotter: 64-Year-Old Who Crashed Into Pole Arrested for DUI; Pickpockets Grab $700 in Gift Cards

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, March 16

2:57 p.m., Costco on Metro Center Boulevard: Security recovered a customer's stolen purse with four gift cards valued at $700 missing.  

5:11 p.m., Beach Park Boulevard: Burglars used a stolen key to steal a Compaq Presario computer and jumper cables from a parked car. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 20 and March 13.

2:05a.m.,  East Hillsdale and Foster City Boulevards: A Foster City man who crashed into a pole was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Adolfo Pina, 64, was taken to First Chance, a treatment center in San Carlos. Pina was not seriously hurt.

11:28 a.m., Franciscan Apartments on Foster City Boulevard:

Burglars smashed through a window to steal a Garmin GPS from a parked car. The burglary occurred sometime after midnight.

 

Sunday, March 18

1:51 a.m., U.S. Highway 101 near Kehoe Avenue:

A South San Francisco man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Andre Curry, 38, was taken to First Chance.

12:35 p.m., Safeway on East Hillsdale Boulevard: A Foster City man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Saul Vigil, 42, was taken to First Chance.
