Police Blotter: Composting Isn't a Crime; Taggers Hit Signal Box, Public Storage Building

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 16

8:29 a.m., East Third Avenue and Foster City Boulevard: Taggers painted graffiti on a signal box.

9:29 a.m., Port Royal Avenue: A package containing unspecified items was stolen from a porch sometime after 10 a.m. on April 12. The incident was reported as grand theft.

11:18 a.m., Bounty Boat Park on Foster City Boulevard: Police responding to a report of a female stealing city property determined she was involved in a legal composting event.

Tuesday, April 17

7:23 p.m., Foster City Boulevard: A Google Chromebook valued at $400 was stolen from the trunk of an unlocked car sometime after 6 p.m. on Sunday.

 

Wednesday, April 18

7:57 a.m., Public Storage on Triton Drive: Taggers hit the underside wall of a building on the south end of the Highway 92 overpass.

10:22 a.m.,  Mini-Mart on Shell Boulevard: A laptop computer left on a motorist's roof when he drove off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday was gone  when he returned 15 minutes later.

 

Thursday, April 19

1:44 a.m., Franciscan Apartments on Foster City Boulevard: A trespasser scavenging through a dumpster was gone when police arrived.

8:55 a.m., Gilead Sciences on Lakeside Drive: A parked car was keyed in the company parking lot sometime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

12:46 a.m. Bodega Street: A garden hose was stolen from in front of a house garage sometime between April 12-13.
