Police Blotter: Samurai Sword Snatched in Storage Locker Break-In; Lost Hello Kitty Bag Home Safe

Friday, April 6

12:41 a.m., Highway 101 and Ralston Avenue: A Livermore man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Michael J. Barrett, 47, was taken to First Chance, a San Carlos treatment center.

2:48  p.m., Sony Corp. on East Hillsdale Boulevard: Vandals keyed the driver’s side of a parked car sometime after 1:15 p.m.

3:43 p.m., Waters Edge Apartments on East Hillsdale Boulevard: Burglars cut a storage locker lock in a heist that yielded a Samurai sword, miscellaneous motorcycle parts and camping gear. The theft occurred sometime in the last few weeks.

Saturday, April 7

11:07 a.m., Erickson Lane: A Hello Kitty bag with an iPhone and miscellaneous cards a Foster City resident found in his home was returned to its owner.

2:19  p.m., Sea Cloud Park on Sea Cloud Drive: Vandals keyed a car parked in the lot by the baseball diamonds near the restrooms and snack shack.

6:55  p.m., Magellan Lane: Burglars stole a Sony Playstation 3, several PS3 games, and keys sometime between after 3:30 p.m. The burglars got in the home through an unlocked door.

11:34 p.m., Metro Center Boulevard: A San Francisco resident was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Amylly Dumalig, 28, was taken to First Chance.

 

Sunday, April 8

1:28 p.m., AAAAA Rent-A-Space on East Hillsdale Boulevard: Vandals tagged an entire rear wall facing Highway 92.

 

Monday, April 9

3:18  p.m., Brewer Island School on Polynesia Drive: Burglars removed a screen window in a botched attempt to get into a classroom.
