Adult Bookstore Robbery Leaves Clerk Wounded

A clerk of a Garden Grove adult bookstore was pistol-whipped by one of two men who robbed the business, Tuesday. Police seeking suspects.

GARDEN GROVE, CA — Two men held up a Garden Grove adult bookstore Tuesday morning, one of them pistol whipped the store clerk, according to reports. Now, Garden Grove police are seeking the suspects.

The robbery was reported at 12:50 a.m. at Eden Adult Bookstore at 12061 Garden Grove Blvd., said Garden Grove police Sgt. Juan Centeno.

"One suspect walked in and inquired about a product in a display case while another suspect, armed with a handgun, went behind the counter and demanded money from the clerk," Centeno said. "Although the clerk provided the armed man with the money, the suspect became violent and struck the clerk on the top of his head with the gun."

It wasn't immediately clear if the clerk was taken to a hospital for his injuries.

The suspects fled the store through the south door.

The armed suspect was Hispanic, 40 years old, with a shaved head and was last seen wearing a white and gray checkered shirt. The other suspect was Hispanic, 40 years old, 5 feet 11, with a mustache and was seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
