FULLERTON, CA — Police Thursday announced the arrest of an Asian man accused of groping two women on the campus of Fullerton College this week. The name of the suspect and photo are being withheld at this time, according to Fullerton Police Sgt. Jon Radus.

The crimes occurred within a few minutes of one another just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on a walkway that connects the 1100 and 1300 buildings with the 100 and 300 buildings.

"Two female students reported that a suspect they did not know groped them in the crotch area, and described him as possibly Asian and in his 20s, about 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds, with a cropped beard," Radus said.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, detectives were called to the college by campus police, who had detained a 35-year-old man because he was "acting erratically" and "displaying signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance," according to Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus.

After further investigation, the man was identified as the alleged groper, the sergeant said.
