FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — Residents are invited to gather at Veterans Park on Wednesday, Nov. 11, for a community ceremony honoring military veterans and their service to the nation.
The city of Fountain Valley, in partnership with West Orange County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Auxiliary 9557, will host the annual Veterans Day observance beginning at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park, 17635 Los Alamos St.
The ceremony will provide an opportunity for residents, veterans, military families and community members to come together in recognition of those who have served in the U.S. armed forces.
Veterans Day is observed nationwide each Nov. 11 to recognize the service and sacrifices of military veterans. Unlike Memorial Day, which honors those who died while serving in the military, Veterans Day recognizes all who have served, including living veterans.
The Fountain Valley event is open to the public.
For additional information about the ceremony, contact Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services at 714-593-4446.
