Anaheim Stabbing Leaves Homeless Victim in Critical Condition

A homeless man was stabbed near an Anaheim park in the early hours of Aug. 2. One was arrested for the stabbing that left a man critical.

ANAHEIM, CA—A homeless man was stabbed early this morning by several assailants near a park in Anaheim today and critically wounded, according to Anaheim Police. The victim was able to tell police that he was "jumped by several men" according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

A transient, known to the victim, was arrested shortly after police arrived on scene.

Shortly after 1:45 a.m. officers responded to reports of a man bleeding in the 1100 block of La Palma Parkway, Wyatt said.

"They found the victim in a parking lot," Wyatt stated. "Officers searched the immediate area and arrested one man, later identified as Joshua Shawn Ryan, 23, who Wyatt said is also a transient."

Ryan was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.
