Big Rig, Van & Small Truck Crash on 405 at Magnolia

A three-vehicle crash on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway near Magnolia Street sent at least one driver to a hospital and blocked all lanes for about an hour.

The crash between a big-rig truck, a van and small truck happened about 9:45 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada said. The van's driver was taken to an area hospital but the injuries were not considered life- threatening, Quesada said.

Officers were able to reopen the diamond and fast lanes about 10:45 a.m., Quesada said. Traffic was backed up to the Garden Grove (22) Freeway at one point, she added.
