Body Found In Mile Square Park, Homicide Detectives Investigate
Orange County Sheriff's Department Homicide. Detectives are investigating a body found in the water of Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — Orange County Park Rangers discovered a body at Mile Square Park's northernmost lake Friday morning, officials say.
Orange County Sheriff's Department homicide investigators have taken the lead on an investigation, according to Sgt. Todd Hylton. Cause of death and the identity of the victim have not yet been released.
OCSD disclosed that it was an adult, but they have not disclosed if it was male or female, according to Hylton.

Fountain Valley Police, Orange County Fire Authority and OC Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of the body. It is not yet known how the person died and confirmed the adult subject was deceased.
Orange County homicide investigators are on scene, according to Hylton.

#OCSDPIO At 10:45 this morning, an OC Parks’ ranger discovered a body in the north lake at Mile Square Park. Fountain Valley Police and Fire along with OC Sheriff’s responded and confirmed the adult subject was deceased. OCSD will be the lead agency investigating this incident.
