A City of Red for the 13th Annual National Go Red Day in Santa Ana

American Heart Association- Go Red Day in Santa Ana


On Friday February 6th, Santa Ana celebrated “Go Red” day with the American Heart Association. The annual Go Red For Woman campaign spreads awareness about heart disease and preventative measures available for women.


In the city of Santa Ana Museums, and community members from local businesses and schools joined hands to help raise awareness about heart disease. The Bowers and Heritage Museum illuminated red to show their support along with nearly 5,000 Northgate Market employees wearing red to celebrate National Go Red Day. The students and teachers of John Adams Elementary along with employees from Fluor Global Engineering Construction Company, Fremont, and Sepulveda Elementary also showed their support by wearing red and holding activities in celebration of Go Red Day. Some of these activities included planting new vegetables in their Teaching Gardens and writing ways to be healthy on red, paper hearts.


The phenomenal community members of Santa Ana truly showed their support and enthusiasm for National Go Red Day, and continue to spread awareness about heart disease and the Go Red For Women campaign.
