Dog Bites Owner While Riding in Car, Tears into Second Owner When Paramedics Arrive
Two people were hospitalized with serious wounds after their own dog attacked them each within moments of each other.

A dog bit two of its owners today, sending both to a hospital.
The dog and its owners were in a vehicle that was traveling through Costa Mesa in the 1100 block of Victoria Street, on the way to Huntington Beach, about 7:30 p.m. when it bit one of them, said Costa Mesa police Lt. Ed Everett.
The vehicle was stopped and firefighters were called to tend to the bitten victim, Everett said.

The dog’s uninjured owner removed the animal from the vehicle and was standing by in a nearby park when the canine tore into that person as well, Everett said.
Both victims received serious bites and were taken to a hospital, but their conditions were not immediately available, he said.
