DUI Suspected, Teens Injured In Fast Furious North OC Collision

SANTA ANA. CA — At least four teens were injured Thursday in a suspected DUI collision. A vehicle and two pedestrians in Santa Ana, authorities said.
The driver, a minor who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of "alcohol and/or drugs," was speeding down the 1600 block of South Greenville Street about 11 a.m. according to Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
"The driver lost control of the silver sedan, which jumped the curb, veered onto a sidewalk and plowed into the pedestrians," Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said. "The car then slammed into a light pole."

Five patients were taken to area hospitals, including one with an apparent broken leg, but none of the injuries were considered life-threatening, he said.
According to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz, there were three trauma patients, and one minor injury reported. Officials temporarily blocked the intersection due to the ongoing investigation.
