Craig Torres, Tongva community scholar and cultural consultant, will introduce us to the Tongva and describe how his ancestors survived through food, clothing and shelter. He will show us the plants the Tongva still use today, and teach us how to identify them.
Participants will have an opportunity to make clapper sticks or a herb/medicine container out of elderberry branches.
