FBI: $2.3 Million Found at Drug Cartel Stash House Next to Disneyland
Authorities are asking the public for information about an alleged Mexican cartel stash house on Katella across from Disneyland.

FBI officials reached out to the public today for help obtaining more information about a stash house in Anaheim where authorities recently seized $2.3 million in cash.
Thursday's seizure was part of a two-year investigation involving wiretaps by the FBI, IRS and local law enforcement into a Mexico-based drug-trafficking organization, according to Laura Eimiller of the FBI.
The drug traffickers are suspected of having ties to Culiacan, Sinaloa in Mexico.

A break in the case came a week ago during a traffic stop of a woman on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway, Eimiller said. Information gleaned from questioning of that suspect led to a search warrant on the stash house in the 1200 block of West Katella Avenue, Eimiller said.
There have been several other large seizures during the investigation, but authorities declined to give specifics about what law enforcement obtained in the raids, Eimiller said.

The house on Katella was believed to be used for storage of narcotics, Eimiller said.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information that may be helpful to investigators was encouraged to call the FBI at (310) 477-6565. Anonymous tips are welcome and the identity of callers will be kept confidential, Eimiller said.
