To help replenish Grandma’s House of Hope cupboards following a recent theft, five First Bank branches in Orange County collected a truckload of food while collecting $236 for the non-profit organization. Leading the collection drive was Susan Montoya, First Bank’s Senior Vice President and Corporate CRA Officer, who helped five First Bank locations in Orange County embark on the two-week initiative in June. First Bank locations participating in the drive were Goldenwest (16900 Goldenwest St, Huntington Beach) Huntington Beach (501 Main St, Suite H), Westminster (8251 Westminster Blvd), Newport Beach (4301 MacArthur Blvd) and Costa Mesa (3001 Harbor Blvd, Suite C). Second Harvest Food Bank http://feedoc.org/ also helped supply Grandma’s House with more food. In early June, Grandma’s House of Hope was preparing to distribute 1,500 pounds of food (about 5,600 meals) meant for homeless kids when thieves broke into the agency’s shed. Located in Santa Ana, California, Grandma’s House of Hope provides basic needs and enrichment services to women, children and families living in extreme poverty.
