FIRST BANK POSTS RECORD SCORE FOR JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM

First Bank employees in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas helped raise a bank record $8,150 during the Play-4-JA Bowl-a-Thon.

Thanks to branch and online fundraising, First Bank employees in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas helped raise a bank record $8,150 during the Play-4-JA Bowl-a-Thon. All proceeds went to Junior Achievement’s financial literacy programs. First Bank’s fundraising efforts, which included selling JA cards and holding raffles, culminated in a JA bowling event at Fountain Valley Bowl in Fountain Valley, California. Fifteen First Bank branches participated in fundraising: Bixby Knolls, Huntington Beach (501 Main St, Suite H), Huntington Beach (Goldenwest office), Riverside, Newport Beach, Irvine, Lakewood, Fullerton, Laguna Niguel, Yorba Linda, Westminster, Mira Loma, Costa Mesa, Corona and Rowland Heights. It was the eighth consecutive year First Bank participated in the JA fundraiser. JA Mission To inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. JA of Southern California serves ten counties of Los Angeles, Kern, King, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura. Seventy one percent of our participating students are minorities. The Board of Directors declares their commitment to serve underserved communities comprised of households with low-to-moderate incomes.
