Fountain Valley Alum Arciniaga to Compete in Olympic Marathon Trials
Arciniaga is one of the top 10 marathoners in the country.

Former Fountain Valley High School cross country standout Nick Arciniaga will take to the marathon route in Houston Jan. 14 looking for a spot on this year's U.S. Olympic team.
Arciniaga is ranked in the top 10 men's marathon runners in the country, qualifying for the trial with a time of 2:11:48 at the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in San Diego in June of 2010.
The 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials will be held a day prior to the 40th anniversary of the Houston Marathon. The races will determine the three men and three women who will represent the United States in the marathon at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Houston has hosted the USA Men's Half Marathon Championship since 2005, and the race supports the USA Distance Project, dedicated to sustaining the long-term development of elite USA distance athletes, enabling them to compete successfully in domestic and international competitions and major championship events.
