UPDATED: Fountain Valley Ambulance Crash Injures 6

Six people were hurt when an ambulance crashed and flipped near Fountain Valley Regional.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY - Six people were injured when a van slammed into an ambulance causing it to overturn in a Fountain Valley intersection Friday afternoon.

The accident happened at Euclid Street and Warner Avenue near Fountain Valley Regional Hospital at 1:40 p.m, according to Fountain Valley Police Department Lt. Matt Sheppard. With lights and sirens blaring, the ambulance was rushing a patient to the hospital when the accident occurred, Sheppard said.

“The investigation revealed a passenger van was traveling eastbound Warner Ave and collided into an Ambulance that was traveling southbound Euclid,” Sheppard said. “The initial collision caused the ambulance to roll onto the side.”
