Fountain Valley Firefighters Extricate Man in Single Vehicle Crash
A man was injured when his vehicle crashed into a pole Saturday night in Fountain Valley.

A motorist was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Fountain Valley, where his vehicle struck a signal pole, a police lieutenant said today.
The condition of the motorist, the lone occupant in the vehicle, was not immediately known, said Fountain Valley police Lt. Matt Sheppard, adding that firefighters had to extricate the man from his vehicle.
Police dispatched to the crash at Newhope Street and Edinger Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Saturday came upon a vehicle that collided into an overhead signal pole at the southeast corner, Sheppard said.
