Fountain Valley High School was on lockdown followed by shelter in place due to Westminster Police Department activity in the area.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA —Fountain Valley police and SWAT officers conducting an investigation near Fountain Valley High School left that campus on lock-down Tuesday at approximately 10 a.m. After a harrowing morning of high school lockdown followed by sheltering in place, Fountain Valley High School was allowed to resume their normal bell schedule as of 12:45 a.m., according to Assistant Principal Josh Lamar.
Parents across Fountain Valley shared thoughts and suspicions over social media during the lock-down and following shelter in place, however the overwhelming feeling was to watch and wait to see what the police would say after the event.
"Talbert Avenue was is not available for safety reasons, and all traffic entering the campus must leave heading Northbound on Bushard Street," Lamar said. "Students who normally leave campus after 4th period will be allowed to leave, heading north only."
