Frugal Family: Deals of the Week

Sure and begorah, St. Paddy’s Day is right around the corner and we have found some great Fountain Valley deals to help you celebrate in style:

1. I recently discovered Dollar Tree and was impressed with the selection of items for only a buck. It has décor items, such as green garlands and table toppers with shamrocks, for only $1. I really liked the bright green plastic party cups—25 cups for $1. It also has very nice 20-ounce glass beer steins for—you guessed it—$1.

2. Costco is the place to go to source your Irish liquor. There are cases of Guinness for $25.99, Jameson Irish Whiskey for $15.99 a bottle and Bailey’s Irish Cream for $19.99. It also had the best price on corned beef brisket, $3.79 a pound.

3. For some fun St. Patrick’s Day accessories, try Big Lots. It offers an 8-pack of "Kiss Me, I’m Irish" buttons for $1, a set of drinking game dice for $1.50 and very nice shamrock front-door hangers for only $5.

4. To round out your corned beef, Fresh & Easy has cabbage for $1.60 a head, and a 3-pound bag of golden potatoes is $2.99.

5. Want just a touch of the green? Albertsons has a selection of colorful St. Paddy’s mylar helium balloons for $3.99 each.
