Now that summer is here, it’s a good time to make sure your family is pool-ready. We’ve assembled a list of Fountain Valley swim lessons that will add a splash to your summer without soaking your wallet:
- The City of Fountain Valley offers swim lessons at the Los Amigos High School pool. Sessions are two weeks long and include daily 30 minute lessons, available through Aug. 18. Group lessons are $56 per two-week session, and semi-private lessons are $111 for the same time period. You can register at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center on Brookhurst St.
- Happy Swimmers will send a Red Cross Certified instructor to your home pool for private or semi-private lessons. A 30-minute private lesson is $44, and a 60-minute private lesson is $68. Two kids of the same age can share a lesson and split the cost. Register online at happyswimmers.com.
- Located inside the L.A. Fitness Health Club, Australian Swim School has the only indoor pool in our selection. It has lessons for all ages starting with Parent and Me for infants. Half-hour group lessons are $69, and 30-minute private lessons are a deal at $45.50. It offers a family discount: the first two family members are at full price and any additional family members are at half price.
- The Nova Swim School uses the Los Caballeros pool, and runs lessons from toddler all the way up to competitive swim teams. Private lessons are $28 per 30-minute session, and group lessons are $18 per session.
- Sunsational Swin School offers lessons at your home or community pool. You can sign up for private lessons or form a group of your friends to lower costs. Half-hour sessions for one student cost $37, and the price gets lower as you add more students until you hit four students at $15 each. Instructors are trained in CPR and first aid and also Red Cross Certified. Sign up online at sunsationalswimschool.com.
