Garden Grove McDonald's Fire Started in Basement

A fire broke out at a Garden Grove McDonald's Restaurant July 14. All were evacuated while the Garden Grove Fire Department went to work.

GARDEN GROVE (CNS) - Firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze at a local McDonald's restaurant in Grove Grove today.

Firefighters were called at approximately 12:15 p.m. to the fast-food restaurant at 9800 block of Westminster Ave., said Garden Grove Fire Capt. Thanh Nguyen.

Employees and customers were evacuated, and firefighters knocked down the blaze in 10 minutes, Nguyen said.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire, which started in the restaurant's basement, was under investigation, Nguyen said.
