Los Amigos had a chance to tie the score in the final seconds, but the Lobos' luck was stopped by a sure-handed goalie as Santa Ana Valley scored an 8-7 victory Saturday to win the Southern Section Division 7 championship for girls' water polo.
It's the second consecutive title for Santa Ana Valley (24-7) at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine.

Brianna Salas had two goals for Los Amigos, which went into the last period tied at 6-6. Salas, the career scoring leader for Los Amigos, didn't score after the first quarter.
