Do you know when to raise and when to fold? Are you a whiz at online poker and want to play in a real tournament, but are a little nervous to try? Then this week’s Great Escape is perfect for you.
The Fountain Valley Community Foundation, which supports a wide range of nonprofit organizations in Fountain Valley, is holding its annual Championship Poker Tournament. The tournament will be held Saturday March 12, 2011, at the Founders Village on the corner of Bushard and Talbert.

The Foundation has raised more than $300,000 in its tournaments, with more than 95 percent of the proceeds going directly to fund nonprofit programs in Fountain Valley. When you register to play, 100 percent of the registration fees go directly to the organization that you select.
The tournament winner receives a five-night, six-day vacation, including airline voucher, in Hawaii (we call that Great Escape part 2!) and everyone at the final table will win a prize package worth at least $200.
