Gunman Injures Two At OC House Party, Suspects At Large

Two suspects shot up an inland Orange County house party late Wednesday, injuring two.

YORBA LINDA, CA — Shots rang out in the night at a Yorba Linda house party late Wednesday. One person was shot in the leg and another suffered a head injury after being pistol-whipped according to witnesses at the scene at the 21000 block of Dunrobin Way at about 10:30 p.m.

The gunman and another crashed the Dunrobin Way house party, and witnesses said the shooting happened after party-goers made it clear the uninvited guests were not wanted according to broadcast reports.

Paramedics with the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the 21000 block of Dunrobin Way around 10:30 p.m. and found one male, estimated to be about 18-years-old, suffering from a gunshot wound, Battalion Chief Chuck Fedak said.

The man was treated at the scene and then taken to a local trauma center, Fedak said.

Officials stated that the gunmen were "just firing their weapons at some point," during the altercation.

Authorities found another victim nearby suffering from a head injury, who also was taken to a hospital for treatment, Fedak said. The victim was believed to have been pistol-whipped, according to a news photographer at the scene.

Injuries are not believed to be life threatening, and both were transported to the hospital to treat their injuries, according to an NBC4 report.

A suspect description was not available and a motive for the assault is unknown.
