Gunman Robs Fountain Valley Citibank
A bank robber held up a teller at Citibank on Brookhurst Street.

A man believed about 30 years old is suspected of robbing a Fountain Valley Citibank at gunpoint, police said today.
The armed robbery occurred at 3:52 p.m. Friday at the Citibank in the 17400 block of Brookhurst Street.
“The suspect pulled a handgun out of his satchel bag and demanded money from the teller,” said Fountain Valley police Lt. Matt Sheppard. “The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of currency and the suspect fled out of the bank south door. The suspect was last seen running east through the bank parking lot.”

He was described as Asian, about 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a black baseball hat, dark sweater, dark jeans, black sunglasses and carrying a dark-colored satchel-type shoulder bag. He used a black handgun, Sheppard said.
The FBI was looking into the possibility the incident is connected with other bank robberies.
