This Guy Goes Bananas When His 7-Eleven M&Ms Sale Is Declined [Video]

Video of an Orange County 7-Eleven customer, declined twice & denied his M&Ms, this man literally hurls bananas at the clerk.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — He must have really wanted those M&Ms. A nearby 7-Eleven patron, disgruntled when his payment card was declined when trying to purchase a pack of the hard-shelled chocolate candies, attacked a clerk and knocked over cash registers, according to police reports.

Santa Ana police Wednesday released surveillance video in hopes it would lead to an arrest of the violent customer, who was attempting to buy a package of almond M&Ms candy when his card — either a credit or debit — was declined on Feb. 11 at 902 W. First St., according to Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

The clerk is seen running the suspect's card through the machine more than once, alerting the man both times that it was declined. Words were exchanged.

Next, the suspect can be seen brutally hitting the clerk in the head, pushing one cash register to the floor, and then another after throwing bananas at another clerk before leaving the store with another unknown man.

The damage amounted to about $700.

By the time police checked the cash registers it was too late to retrieve whatever card number he was trying to use, so police hope someone recognizes him in the video, Bertagna said.

The glasses-wearing suspect is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 to 200 pounds.

He is a white man about 30- to 35-years-old and has a medium to heavy build with short black hair and a light complexion.

In the video, another man is seen leaving just after the suspect. It is unclear if they were traveling together.
