The runway was closed as firefighters deal with a fuel leak caused by a forced landing at John Wayne Airport Tuesday night.

A light plane made a forced landing at John Wayne Airport tonight after experiencing problems with its landing gear.
The Cessna made a safe, belly-first landing about 9:10 p.m., the Orange County Register reported.
Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi said firefighters were dealing with a fuel leak from the plane after it landed.

Two people were aboard the plane and neither were injured, airport public relations manager Jenny Wedge told The Register.
