Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Fountain Valley

Police sought a person of interest after a stabbing of a Fountain Valley man on Sunday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — On Sunday, a Fountain Valley resident was stabbed multiple times but was expected to survive, according to police.

At approximately 2:30 in the afternoon, the 40-year-old victim was repeatedly stabbed near the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Edigner Avenue.

That intersection was shut down temporarily while police searched for a person with a knife, Fountain Valley police Sgt. James Cataline said.

The victim who was stabbed on the street was taken to a hospital for treatment of his wounds, Cataline continued.

A motive for the attack was unknown at this time, Cataline said. No description of the suspect was released.
