One Killed In Fatal North County I-5 Collision: CHP

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — One person was killed and another was critically injured in a crash Tuesday evening on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Orange.

The crash was reported at just after 9:15 p.m. near the Chapman Avenue off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The person whom suffered fatal injuries died at the scene, the CHP reported. The identity of the person was not released.

The other person was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Orange Fire Department Capt. Casey Fieldhouse told The Orange County Register.
