One Survivor, One Killed In Midway City Collision

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — An early Monday morning head-on collision claimed the life of one person, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson said.

The collision occurred at just before 12:45 a.m. in the unincorporated Orange County community of Midway City, CHP officers reported. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, on Beach Boulevard just south of Bishop Avenue, said the California Highway Patrol.

One woman, who was in an older Toyota 4Runner, was taken to a hospital for treatment of traumatic injuries. and the compact car driven by the deceased motorist was severely damaged, according to officers at the scene.

The compact was too badly damaged for its brand to be immediately recognized.
